Job Description: Data Scientist

•Experience Level: Targeting candidates with 10 – 15 years of relevant experience; senior-level expertise is needed who can play an advisory role and be hands on as well. Focused on setting up models and processes rather than ongoing support.
Data Science Skills:
•Forecast Accuracy Analysis: Calculate and improve forecast accuracy using methods such as mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), weighted MAPE, and box plots; compare forecast data with actuals over various timeframes (monthly, yearly) and generate regular accuracy reports/scripts, preferably in Python.
•Data Exploration & Model Enhancement: Investigate and identify consistent data sources for exchange forecast adoption, address data inconsistencies, and develop or adapt forecasting models to incorporate new data channels.
•Business Storytelling: Translate statistical findings and accuracy metrics into actionable business insights, determining what levels of forecast accuracy are meaningful for the business and communicating these effectively.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (including libraries like matplotlib), experience with forecast accuracy metrics, and ability to automate reporting processes.
▪Good hands-on experience to perform EDA on large datasets.
▪Understanding of timeseries models like (ARIMA, Moving Average, Naive Forecast) and forecasting techniques
▪Strong experience to calculate and compare model accuracy (MAE, RMSE, MAPE, etc.) and plot using libraries
▪Expertise with libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn, Statsmodels, Scikit-learn.
▪Strong Python programming experience.
▪Experience with deployment tools: Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
